Handsome 19th c. Country House Silver Chest.

An excellent example of an early 19th century Country House Silver Chest, it is in wonderful condition externally with the inside in completely original condition, the inside could be tidied up if necessary. The trunk has it's original iron carrying handles to each side. This chest was probably formerly owned by an officer in the military and used as a campaign chest.
It has an old brass plate to the front of the trunk with the name "Miss Gordon" engraved on it.
This could be used as an interior design piece as well as being a very useful item.
