Henry Ryland was born in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. He was educated at South Kensington Art Schools, Heatherley's in Paris, where he was a pupil of Benjamin Constant, and the Académie Julian under Boulanger and Lefebvre. He was a designer of stained glass and a contributor to the 'English Illustrated Magazine'. His works were first exhibited at the Grosvenor Gallery, and his watercolours (in the style of Alma-Tadema and Godward) were regularly shown at the Royal Academy, the New Gallery and the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour. Preferred method of payment is by bank transfer (UK faster payment or to our €Euro account) which incurs no additional costs or charges.
