For sale this beautifully hand painted, fine porcelain vintage Herend pair of nuzzling ducks in excellent condition made before 1990.

Herend porcelain is a world renowned maker of Hungarian porcelain. The Herend Factory was established in 1826 and won a gold medal at the World Exhibition in London in 1851. The company was made official supplier to the Royal Court in 1872 and is now chiefly owned by the workers of the company. The Herend factory even supplied Kate Middleton and Prince William a unique Herend piece for their marraige, so the company have royal connections up until the present day.

The ducks are a charming and idyllic pair, exquisitely designed, painted and executed with an even glaze that gives the piece a wonderful glossy sheen. These ducks are very naturalistic and the colours, shape and poise have been captured perfectly. The detail around the feathers are particularly vivid, with the blue purple, pink and orange feathers looking particularly stunning

The back stamp shows it is a genuine hand painted Herend piece, see photos.

Condition report: no signs of damage, just some dirt and wear to the base, which is normal over time.
