Hoshiarpur Brass Inlaid Savronola Style Armchair
A very unusual late 19th.Century Hoshiarpur Savronola style armchair. The whole profusely inlaid with brass with copper highlights, the shaped and pierced back inlaid with two confronting peacocks and the arms terminating in bone inlaid leopard heads. This chair is collapsable when the back rail and seat are removed but at present the stretchers below the legs are adding strength and would need to be unscrewed to fold. It is very unusual to find Hoshiarpur chairs as smaller tables and boxes are much more common. Condition- Good, with old repair to the back rail. Dimensions:- Height…38’’/ 96.5cm. Width…29.5’’/ 75cm. Depth…20.5’’/ 52cm. Seat Height…19.25’’/ 49cm. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £45.
