Huge Anita Harris Black Ryden Pottery Vase

This is a very large, striking Anita Harris Black Ryden Pottery vase of baluster form, decorated with an abstract pattern of reds and creams, with blue accents. It is fully marked on the base with the Black Ryden Pottery stamp and painted marks including A/H (for Anita Harris), JHS and 02 (for 2002).
At 46cm high and with a weight of over 6kg this is a hugely impressive and vibrant vase which would make quite the statement on a centre or side table.
Anita Harris was head designer at Poole Pottery for 10 years and brought with her to Stoke on Trent an extensive knowledge in reactive glazes. She met Sam Ryden at Cobridge pottery and here they both produced many popular ranges for Cobridge Stoneware and Black Ryden. Pieces of Black Ryden are becoming much sought after due to its short run from 2002-2005. Cobridge Stoneware, started in 1998 by Hugh Edwards, the owner of Moorcroft, employed the best designers, painters and throwers. The company closed sadly in 2005.
Dimensions: Height 46 cm, Diameter (max) 24 cm
The final photograph shows the vase in comparison with a half pint mug.
Weight 6.4kg
Condition: This vase is in mint condition without chips, cracks or scratches.
Postage & packing: £15 within the UK
