Huge Seascape St.Michaels Mount By Kenneth Carter


We are pleased to offer this very large seascape oil on canvas of St. Michael's Mount, Marazion, Near Penzance, Cornwall by the artist Kenneth E. Carter.
The paintings depicts the Mount from the east on a bright and blustery day, with a two-masted gaff rigged schooner powering through the waves, judging by the spray it is throwing up.
SIGNATURE
The artist has signed the painting K. E. Carter in the lower right hand corner.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Kenneth E. Carter was an artist/illustrator in publishing, one of the books he illustrated being the Observer's book of Railway Locomotives in Britain, published by F. Warne.
He specialised in marine subjects in oils and pastels. He was elected to the Royal Institute of Naval Architects due to his painting in this field.
FRAME
The painting has been newly framed in a 3 1/4" gilt frame and slip and it will be supplied wired and ready to hang.

Frame size: 45 5/8" x 30 1/4" - 116cm x 76.8cm
Image size: 39 1/4" x 24" - 99.65cm x 61cm
CONDITION
Very good condition. The canvas is clean and taut with no repairs, craquelure or stretcher marks. The frame and slip are new.
