This is certainly a fine example. A good clean chair in maple, not all all common. This chair boasts a most unusual herringbone inlay across the back and inlays down the leg, which terminate in brass mounts. There are well detailed brass facings on this tub chair which can be seen in the pictures. Coming directly from a house in France it has arrived in very nice clean condition, as mentioned above, and has not been restored as it is well useable already. Upholstery is clean and looks as if it has not really been used. It was sitting on a landing in a 'Maison de Maitre' so it may well have never been used. It would make a super bedroom chair, but could just as easily be a desk chair or occasional seating.
A most unusual and really attractive occasional chair, and keenly priced too.............reserved............ We have been in business for 40 years and are now coming up to retirement. We are in consequence looking to reduce our stock, Delivery can be arranged with a specialist carrier for around £70 to most areas.
