Impressive Georgian Chester Longcase Clock
Impressive George III oak and mahogany crossbanded 8 Day longcase clock.Made by Robert Fletcher of Chester(working 1784-95).Painted dial with rolling moon to the top arch.Strawberry blossoms and gilt decoration.Date aperture and seconds count.Strikes on a bell to the hour.Fine case with reeded columns and raised panel to the base.Swan neck pediment with Japanned glass panel to the hood.Good colour and condition.Stands 84"high.Fully overhauled.
