We are offering for sale this lovely little still life oil on canvas, which is signed indistinctly in the lower left hand corner and dated 1871. The signature looks like F. Slaney, Glaney, but after the Sla or Gla, it is very faint and we have, so far, been unable to identify it.

The painting depicts a glass globe vase with some bluebells and pink campion, whilst next to the vase is a sprig of dog rose. The flowers and vase have been beautifully executed by the artist

The painting has been relatively recently reframed in an ornate, 2 1/2" swept gilt frame and is ready to hang.
