Italian Marble & Gilt Metal Table Lamp & Shade
We are offering this lovely dusty rose veined Marble and Gilt Metal Table Lamp and Shade by the makers of the Downton Abbey TV series lampshades. The lamp has an eight footed octagonal base upon which sits an ornate circular socle which holds the veined marble vase section, which has lion mask drop handles to the side, joined at the front by a floral garland. The vase is topped by an ornate cap and a short column up to the lampholder.
The shade is in the 'Murano' design and is made of lined ivory silk damask, with vanilla fringe. gold braid and long gold tassels.
The lamp has been rewired with twisted silk covered wire and has all new fittings. As with all electrical items, it is recommended that it be checked by a qualified electrician before use.
Height to top of shade: 23 1/2" - 59.65cm
Width of base: 6" - 15.2cm
Shade is 14 1/2" diagonally corner to corner.
Material: Marble and gilt metal.
Condition: Very good. The marble has naturally occurring veins and layers of strata within its composition. The wire, plug, lampholder, shade and shadecarrier are all new.
