Italian Olivewood Bureau

An Unusual Italian Olive wood Bureau c1820.
The bureau is a lot more decorative than its english counterpart with the differing tones of the olive wood adding to the style of the bureau.
The fall is decorated with quarter veneers and is embelished with grecian key inlay around the sides.
It opens to reveal four small drawers, a hidden well and some pidgeon hole space.
Below this there are two full depth drawers flanking a dummy centre drawer where the well is located.
Standing on elegant carbiole legs this really is a very classy looking bureau that would add a touch of style where ever it sat.
Having working locks to the fall and drawers the bureau does have some old repairs and the odd worm hole....but nothing you wouldn't expect in a piece this age.
Measuring 38" high x 33.75" wide x 19" deep. If you would like any further information, please don`t hesitate to call my mobile 07860304084 ( Peter ).
