This is a gorgeous Italian style antique jewellery casket with a Pietra Dura panel inset on the lid showing a blue headed bird on a cherry branch. This late 19th century casket opens to reveal a purple plush lined interior with the front edge engraved "T K Austin & Co Dublin".

The top of the casket has chased strap work decoration and substantial carrying handles to each side. It is 11" wide x 5.5" high x 9" deep.
