James W Milliken (Exh. 1887 - 1930). Watercolour artist who lived in Liverpool. Exhibited his work at the Royal Academy Walker Gallery Liverpool (50) and the Royal Cambrian Academy.
Here we have a well executed watercolour landscape entitled “Evening by the Alt River” (marked on verso) the river runs across Merseyside to the Irish sea south of Formby.
Signed lower right. Good period frame.
Condition is very good with no foxing or colours appear nice and bright.
