Wonderful quality antique jewellery box. Amboyna burl (burr) from the Narra tree. French C1850, Napoleon III. Possibly by the maker Tahan. Three separate compartments. Working lock with key - locks central section and secures lid of right hand section. Inset with brass detail. Excellent condition in line with age and use. Padded and buttoned lining in original condition - central part has some wear to inside of lid and side - see photos. 29.5cm wide, 18cm deep, 12cm high. More photos available on request.
