John Jelfs Cotswold Studio Pottery Teapot

Sorry, this item is now sold. If you are seeking similar, feel free to contact me with your requirements. Thank you.
A beautiful, deftly crafted, vintage, porcelain 'tea for one' teapot by the highly regarded Cotswold studio potter, John Jelfs.
Unusually, this pot features two different glaze types - a tenmoku (through which a classic, wavy design has been combed) and a plain celadon glaze to the lower section and lid.
The tenmoku is especially deep and rich, breaking to terracotta, purple and salmon-pink in places. Exquisite.
It is finished with a cane handle and bears the potters stamp to the base.
A very complete and satisfying little pot and the perfect Christmas gift for someone who appreciates both pottery and properly brewed tea! Email or call for any further information on this item. We give great attention to each and every item we select and offer for sale, priding ourselves on the accuracy of our descriptions and research. We are very happy to provide complete and exacting condition reports (together with further photographs, where necessary) and encourage buyers to request this information prior to purchase.
Accepted payment methods are via paypal, bank transfer, personal cheque or cash.
Viewing of any item in person, prior to purchase, is always welcomed by appointment.
