Lalique Leda and the swan
In classical Greek mythology, Leda was daughter of the Aetolian king Thestius, and wife of king Tyndareus of Sparta.
The legend says that Leda was seduced and then raped by Zeus who took on the form of a swan. On the same day she also lay with her husband king Tyndareus.
Leda produced four children - Helen (later Helen of Troy) and Polydeuces by Zeus, and Castor and Clytemnestra by her husband.

This Lalique design dates to the post-war period of Lalique. It was designed by Marc Lalique (René Lalique's son) in 1949.
This is a more recent rendition of the model.

The figurine measures approximately 11.5 cm (4.5") tall. She kneels on a 5.2 cm (2.1") diameter base.
The base is engraved "Lalique ® France" and carries its original Lalique label.

The figurine is in excellent condition. There are no chips cracks or repairs, and ony minimal wear to the base.
There is no box.
