A Superb and Large Chinese Blue and White Vase and Cover

An impressive and handsome piece of antique porcelain dating to around the mid 19th century, Qing Dynasty.

This piece is very well potted with an excellent, waisted baluster form and a straight cylindrical neck.

Painted in vivid cobalt blue throughout, the main section with a repetitive design of flowering lotus blooms below a band of ruyi motifs at the shoulder. The neck with stiff plantain lappets of alternating length.

This fantastic vase benefits from retaining the original lid, which is surmounted by a rather nicely modelled foo dog finial.

In outstanding condition, with only a few very minor manufacturing / firing flaws.
