A large and impressive 19th Century burr walnut pedestal partners desk, the shaped top having a green leather writing surface decorated with blind and gold tooling, nice figured burr walnut boarder decorated with ebony inlay on both outer edges, three frieze oak lined drawers either side with raised panels on the drawer fronts, carved reeded decoration between each drawer, the pedestals below having two cupboard doors opening to reveal drawers in one side and dividers in the other, this is the same configuration on the other side of the desk, the doors fronts having very detailed and intricate arched panels with carved decoration either side, the ends of the desk also have decorative panels, supported on a nice deep plinth. Superb quality, lovely colour and in excellent condition. Circa 1890.
