This is a large antique 4 panel coffer. An English, oak carved trunk or window seat, dating to the William III period, circa 1700.
Superb example with appealing carving and stout antique stocks
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout

Fascinating traditional pin hinges articulate the wide panelled lid
Carved four panel fascia with ornate arch motif and demi-lune border
Dressed with an oval lock escutcheon to fascia — key absent
