Large Antique Gilt Overmantle Wall Mirror c1870
A superb antique giltwood overmantel mirror dating from 1870.
Frame retaining it's original mercury silvered mirror plate which has an incredible overall sparkle to the silvering, the plate also offers a very attractive grey hue to the reflection, two small areas of foxing on the extreme left and right edge of plate.
Frame also retains a good percentage of it's original water gilding.
Complete with it's original backing board and hanging plates.
Sizes 140 cm tall to top of crest detail, 127 cm max width at base, main frame width 114 cm.
