A very elegant antique giltwood overmantel mirror of pleasing proportions, dating from 1880.
Wonderfully detailed greek key decoration running around the frame moulding, equally detailed egg and dart decoration along the top cornice.
Frame water-gilded to the very highest of standards using 23.5 carat genuine gold leaf.
Original mirror plate with light overall foxing. Original backing board. Frame sits upon its ebonised plinth rail.
