Offered for sale is this good quality large mahogany Chippendale style extending dining table measuring approximately 65" x 47.5" extending to 115" x47.5" with three leaves. The oval top has a gadrooned edge above cabriole supports with crisply carved shoulders and ball and claw feet with original brass and ceramic castors. The table is well proportioned and is of good quality with good graining and a rich brown conker colour and is in excellent showroom condition having been sympathetically repolished and the extending mechanism, complete with winding handle works very smoothly. It is a comfortable 10 / 12 seater and is an early example of this model dating to about 1900.
