Offered for sale is this superb large Victorian oak telescopic dining table extending from approximately 56" x 48" to 120" x 48" with four leaves, a comfortable 12 seater. The large rectangular oak table has canted corners with a double edged moulding above ring turned supports with original brass and ceramic castors . It has the standard Joseph Fitter extending mechanism and works both robustly and smoothly and comes with winding handle. The table dates to about 1880 and has been cleaned and sympathetically repolished whilst retaining its original character. The table has a makers plate on the underside, James Shoolbred & Co, makers of quality antique furniture. Over the past 30 years we have sold over a thousand sets of chairs along with hundreds of dining tables to satisfied customers.
