An unusual Arts & Crafts pewter mirror depicting a tale from Aesop's Fables of the Fox and a bunch of grapes. He could not reach the tasty grapes so decided he hated them instead! There is a blue ceramic diamond to the top centre.
The pewter is quite thin and there is some damage and small repairs including a slight loss of pewter to the edge at the bottom right hand side. However this is a delightful mirror to enhance any wall and as plenty of character.
The frame measures 80cms x 66cms. The glass which is bevelled edges is 60cms x 45cms. There are minor scratches to the glass. PLEASE NOTE, RED HOUSE ANTIQUES HAS NOW RETIRED.
