Large Church / School Cast Naylor & Vickors Bell
We date this bell to the second half of the 19th century.
The bell has ‘Naylor, Vickers & Co Sheffield around the bell and hangs in a later added metal frame.
The bell has its original clapper, has no cracks and has a lovely sound.
The bell has a height of 16.5" (42cm) with a base diameter of 18” (46cm).
The frame has a height of 76”(193cm) and a base width of 41.5” (106cm).
This attractive bell remains in good solid condition with only minor surface marks commensurate with age and usage. There is some wear and oxidisation to the frame and the bell has been stripped of layers of paint.
This remains a very stylish bell. That will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
