Large size early Scottish Wemyss Ware twin handled tankard in the highly sought after apples pattern. The twin handled large tankard is one of the more unusual design of tankards, the most common being the normal single handled one. This example is well painted on both sides with apples and has the early impressed mark to the base. The condition is very good overall but both handles have been re-attached in the past, no other damage. RARE piece.
