A large antique Victorian overmantle mirror later painted in an ebonised black painted finish dating from circa 1880. It has a moulded d-shaped frame with plinth base. It retains its original mirror plate which is nicely aged, with foxing and loss of silvering with most loss to the edges. With original backing boards.
Construction/Wood:
Painted wood/Gesso
Condition Report:
Wear and marks commensurate with age. The frame has been hand painted in Annie Sloan Athenian Black chalk paint and given a wax finish. Mirror plate is original with some general age related wear, some foxing and loss of silvering in places, mainly to the edges . With original backing boards.
