A lovely antique mahogany screen. We date this screen to the very early 20th century.

The screen consists of three folding mahogany framed panels. Each panel consists of a top glass section with beading, the glass is framed with gold coloured cord on the reverse side. There is a decorative moulding under the glass with the fabric panel below.

The fabric is an ornate red and cream floral striped pattern, the reverse side has a plain light brown lining.

Each panel measures 69" (176cm) high by 18.5" (47cm) wide.

This lovely antique screen remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. The material is showing a bit of wear and some catches from past use and the reverse lining fabric has a fair amount of wear and tears primarily to one panel. There is some minor wear and indentations to the wood, primarily to some of the edges.

This remains a stylish and elegant screen which will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
