Large Edwardian oil painting leather screen
Antique large Edwardian or late Victorian oil painting on leather screen or room divider.
A quality oil painting of a castle and lake.
This is a lovely very very rare piece, essentially a large oil painting on 3 leather screen panels (the back is covered in Rexine).
No woodworm.
Two way folding hinges as you would want to find.
Would look amazing in the right location!
Overall maximum dimensions 3 panels, each 183cmH x 51cmW x 2.5cmD.
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and to be expected with genuine antique furniture. There are signs of historic repairs (only to be expected given the age and type of item) and there is a small (7.5cm) split in the rexine back, which is low down and not very noticeable. There is some aging and crazing to the painting, as one would expect and want to see.
