Large French painted sofa
Superb quality and very decorative French louis xv style painted large sofa, beautifully made and carved throughout, made in Paris circa 1890.
This is a generous two seater sofa with full head height back so it is a comfortable sofa that you can happily use all evening, you don't have to perch on it like many smaller sofas in this style.
The frame is serpentine and cabriole, the original French grey paint is in lovely condition too.
It has been fully re upholstered with a new seat spring too, the upholstery is a Vanessa Arbuthnott "Stockholm Stripe"
There is a second identical sofa available, upholstered in a complimentary fabric of the same designer.
