Large French Victorian Carved Oak Washstand
A lovely mirrored back washstand. We date this washstand to the late 19th century.
The washstand is supplied in multiple sections. The mirror, the base section and the marble section that comes in multiple pieces for transport.
The washstand sits on attractive carved cabriole legs at the front and rectangular section legs to the rear.
The top section features a white marble gallery with a full length shelf with a lovely carved oak mirror above.
The base section consists of a lovely white marble top with a chest of five graduated drawers, two over three. The drawers are fitted with decorative cast brass handles and locks (no key is supplied but one could be obtained if required).
The washstand has an overall height of 82" (208cm) including the mirror, a base table top height of 36" (91cm), a base width of 52.5" (133cm), and a base depth of 21.5" (55cm).
This lovely carved oak washstand remains in good solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage, there are some minor marks to the marble.
This remains a stylish and elegant washstand. It will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
