Impressive mid 19th.c. mahogany combination wardrobe and press c.1860. Breakfront design of four long doors with hanging space to the left and right hand pods either side of a centre press cupboard fitted with three sliding shelves (which could be removed for extra hanging space) and a useful two over two chest of drawers. Flared cornice, arched door panels with exceptionally well figured flame mahogany veneers on mahogany groundwork and crisply carved corbels applied to the upper and lower edges of the doors. Solid mahogany sides, oak lined slides and drawers, original brass handles. A slight warp to the left hand door and a couple of repairs to the veneers on the centre doors (where they have been opened against the key in the side doors). Otherwise excellent condition and colour, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Keys supplied. Splits into three pieces plus cornice and plinth for delivery.
