Large oval William IV library table
Great scale oval William IV library centre table with a gilt tooled leather top, circa 1840 and in good solid condition.
The gilt tooled leather top is in good condition and inset to the mahogany frame. The table base or “apron” is well set back so you have a good clearance to the underside for chair arms to push under. Supported on these beautifully turned and octagonal tapered legs with all original brass castors.
This would make a wonderful dining table and would comfortably seat 8 to 10, but as a home office desk this gives amble working space and is super stylish too!
Measuring:
29 1/4 inches or 74.5 cm high
44 1/2 inches or 113 cm wide
91 inches or 231 cm length
27 1/4 inches or 69.5 cm kneehole height Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
