Beautiful pair of French late c19th gilt oval mirrors in lovely condition and with original water gilding.
Very decorative pair and a lovely size. They would make a good pair of console table mirrors, but also being large enough to free hang on their own.
They could also work very well as a pair of bathroom mirrors too.
Although I have photographed them hanging "portrait" you could hang them "landscape."
Both mirrors have had a replacement glass so they are both in perfect condition.
The frames do have signs of age, but nothing out of the ordinary and I would say they have aged gracefully.
I have fitted replacement hanging chains to the mirrors, so they are ready to hang.
Measuring:
31” or 79cm high
26 3/4” or 68cm wide
1 1/2” or 4cm deep frames Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
