Large pair of public library document chest of 21 drawers. They were in use in a Northamptonshire public library before being passed to the National Trust. They are of pine construction, very heavy and substantial with the original finish. There are losses to the finish and some drawers handle backs as would be expected for large pieces of antique furniture in prolonged public use, but they are in original condition. The top of each raises for storage of larger documents.

Each measures six feet wide.
