Large Stonehill Deco Style Walnut Cocktail Cabinet
A lovely Art Deco style walnut drinks cabinet. We date this cabinet to the 1960s.
The cabinet has a serpentine shape and sits on a recessed plinth base.
The top of the cabinet consists of a central drop door that lifts the top and slides out the drinks cabinet. Internally the drinks section is finished in birdseye maple. The drop door has a black and gold glass shelf within and a shapley recessed shelf with a small brass front gallery. Above there is a section complete with the original cocktail sticks. There is a light in the centre that would need to be rewired as the wire has been cut.
There is a curved fronted recessed cupboard to each side with the right hand cupboard having two green baize lined drawers. Internally there is a badge for Stonehill Furniture.
The base has three drawers to the center flanked by a cupboard to each side with a curved door frontage. The cabinet is fitted with ornate brass handles.
The drinks cabinet has a height of 37.5" (95cm), a width of 54.5" (139cm) and a depth of 21.5" (55cm) at the deepest.
This lovely vintage drinks cabinet remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There is wear to the top surface including a darker area of wear to the finish on the front left hand side as can be seen in the pictures.
This remains a very stylish and elegant vintage cabinet which will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
