Wonderful imposing mid century portrait of an elegant lady,Signed and dated lower left 1949,in excellent condition and recently professionally housed in a burnished silver coloured frame.
Very much in the style of a Bloomsbury School painting and would give real presence to any room.

Frame 39.5" x 31.5"
Born in Western Australia in 1905, Leonard Green studied at the Regent Street Polytechnic, the Central Art School and Heatherly's in London. Originally a newspaper artist for 'The West Australian' he lived and worked for some time in South Africa and England painting in oils watercolour and acrylic. Green also studied buon fresco and mural painting in Italy and Switzerland, before returning to Perth to live in 1980. He died in 1993
