Large Victorian 19C burr walnut oval tilt top loo table
Antique large Victorian 19C oval burr walnut tilt top loo breakfast table.
This is a lovely table, that is full of age, charm and character.
The table is heavy, solid and has no loose joints, standing on a large and impressive base with castors. Just a tiny bit of play in the tilting mechanism as is usual and to be expected.
Lovely patina, figuring and colour, would look amazing in the right location!
Overall maximum dimensions 143cmL x 110cmW x 74cmH (169cmH when tilted up).
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and to be expected with genuine antique furniture. The pivot screws are dissimilar. There is an historic crack in the top (between two planks under the veneer), which is old, well glued and wax filled. There are veneer imperfections, such as chips , wear, light bubbling etc., but all is now stable and common with burr walnut veneered antique tables. There is evidence of historic restoration. The castors are old, but may not be original.
