Large Victorian burr walnut oval tilt top table
Antique Victorian 19C oval burr walnut tilt top loo breakfast table.
This is a lovely table, that is full of age, charm and character.
The table is heavy, solid and has no loose joints, standing on a large and impressive base with period brass and ceramic castors. Just a tiny bit of play in the tilting mechanism as is usual and to be expected.
Lovely patina, figuring and colour, would look amazing in the right location!
Overall maximum dimensions 137cmL x 104cmW x 72cmH (161cmH when tilted up).
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and to be expected with genuine antique furniture. There are veneer imperfections, such as chips , wear, light bubbling etc., but all is now stable and common with burr walnut veneered antique tables. There is evidence of historic restoration and the top has been refinished, but still retains much of its age, character and charm. There are a few historic woodworm holes, believed extinct, but treated for good measure.
