An elegant large antique Victorian oval gilt wall mirror, in nicely aged gilt gesso frame dating from circa 1890. With bevelled mirror, the cushion moulded frame with raised naturalistic trailing vines. In water gilt and gesso frame with good age and wear with the clay/gesso showing through in lots of places. A good size, could be used as a bedroom or hall mirror or as an over mantle mirror above a fireplace. Complete with hanging chain for portrait, which can be changed to hang in landscape.

Good original condition, aged gilt frame with some small but solid splits to the gesso. A few small marks to the mirror plate. Back board has been replaced at some point.
