A beautifully carved, substantial vintage (circa 1970's) Jamaican wooden plaque depicting the Jamaican coat of arms, surrounded by a bird of paradise to on each side. This is naively but very well carved and definitely of much better quality than a normal "tourist piece". I acquired this wonderful plaque from a gentleman who's late father in law worked in Jamaica in the 1970s. Upon his return to the United Kindom, his staff and colleagues presented him with the plaque on departure.
