Large Walnut Pedestal Desk c.1930.

Handsome and large Queen Anne revival walnut pedestal desk c.1930. Five foot by three foot top with original tooled leather writing surface over three drawers. Raised on twin pedestals, each with three drawers of graduated depth to the front and a useful lockable cupboard in the rear. With a good sized kneehole space (height 24″). A good quality desk with pale walnut veneers on oak groundwork, arranged in a symmetrical pattern across each side. Mahogany crossbanding to the drawer fronts, pedestal sides and cupboard doors. Caddy top with rounded drawer fronts, the shape of which is continued on the sides and rear. Original brass Queen Anne style handles. Crossbanded mouldings around the drawers and at the base. Raised on short shaped and carved legs front and rear. Some old wear to the leather, otherwise excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
