Large Welsh Scrub Top Farmhouse Dining Table
A truly wonderful and superb looking Welsh pine and oak farmhouse dining table from the Cardiganshire/Carmarthenshire region, c1800-1830.
Featuring a beautiful three plank scrub top with pretty oak pegged joints, supported on a solid pine and oak frame with single end drawer and H stretcher.
This table is very generously sized for the region at over 7ft long and can easily seat 8 people and up to 10 should you need, this is especially easy with the benches pictured which are available seperately.
In superb original condition, only the tips of the legs have been historically repaired to maintain a perfect dining height of 31", leg room is a very comfortable 24" with a little less at the drawer end though still enough to sit at.
Colour and surface are excellent with a well patinated base and pretty mellow top it makes for a superb looking table and at nearly 3ft wide should provide all the room you need for any occasion.
Overall a rare and most pleasing table of perfect proportions and desirable decorative appearance.
