Late 17th century English Jacobean oak chest of drawers. Four long drawers with moulded decoration with moulded facings to the front of the chest. Paneled ends with moulded decoration. The drawers all have their original almost 1" thick elm sides and backs with oak bottoms, there is some old worm damage to the elm but this has all been fully treated as a precaution. The engraved brass plate handles are correct type replacements.

The chest has had some minor restorations over the years as most of these have but is basically in good condition. It also displays a lovely rich colour with deep patination.

The other good thing about this particular Jacobean chest is it is not too big.
