Late 17thc dome top marriage chest dated 1700, probably north German. Profusely carved and polychromed with religious scenes and symbolism. Lid lifts to reveal lovely original decorated hinges and a candlebox.Comes with it's original key, the lock is in working order.

Some losses to iron work on the inside and one polychromed head is missing.Some losses scrapes and knocks to paintwork consistent with age. May have evidence of old worm. Otherwise in good condition.
