Late 18th Cent Mahogany 8 Day Longcase Clock


A lovely quality longcase clock by Thomas Page of Norwich. He is listed as working there from 1736 to 1784.
The case is in particularly well figured mahogany with boxwood and ebony line inlay. The trunk and hood have brass inlaid fluted columns and the hood has very smart cast brass Corinthian capitals.
The good quality 5 pillar, 8 day movement has a decorative brass dial with silvered chapter ring, subsidiary seconds dial and date indicator.
The case is in good condition and a lovely colour. There are a few old woodworm holes to the hood but these have been treated and filled.
The movement is in good condition and keeping good time.
The maximum dimensions are:
212cm (83.5") high
52cm (20.5") wide
25cm (10") deep
