Stunning late 18th.c. French oak armoire c.1790. Two doors forming a graceful arch with a fine carved centre frieze, elaborately shaped panels and exceptional brass escutcheon plates with unusual chased detail. Carved foliate pattern frieze to the top, repeated at the base with a shaped apron and feet. Heavy and solid timbers of good mellow colour with panelled sides and rear. The interior is fitted with two shelves and two drawers. Excellent condition, original hinges, locks and key.
