We are pleased to offer this beautiful 19th Century Portrait Oil on Canvas of an attractive young lady. She is dresssed in renaissance fashion, with an eau de nil dress, with a laced bodice, cream lace frill around the neck, full, cream sleeves, with matching eau de nil ribbon overlay and trim, cream lace frill at the elbow, and a matching 'Juliet' style cap over her wavy, golden brown hair. She has a double, twisted string of pearls around her neck. She is holding a wicker basket containing sprays of dark red and pink roses.

The painting is unsigned, so we can offer no biographical information about the artist, except to say that this is an extremely attractive painting.

The canvas has been newly framed in a 5" ornate gilt frame, which tones very well with the painting. It will be supplied wired and ready to hang.

Framed size: 30" x 24 7/8" - 76.2cm x 63.2cm

Medium: Oils on canvas

Condition: Very good. The canvas has been wax lined at some time in the past. The surface is clean and taut and there is only very minimal craquelure and stretcher marks. The frame is new.
