Late 19th.c. camphorwood campaign chest c.1880. Slightly larger than most we see, ideal as a coffee table with storage. Solid camphorwood boards, a fragrant and pest resistant timber designed to protect the contents during passage, protected with brass bindings and corners with flush fitting handle to the lid and brass carry handles to the sides. Good mellow colour and excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
