Late Victorian solid oak open arm desk chair c1890 and sits on turned front legs and out swept back legs. Studded padded backrest, armrests and seat in a red leather. Newly upholstered to include webbing and padding to meet with fire regulations. The studio lighting has made the red leather look lighter in colour so I have added an image showing the real colour in natural light. In good condition, all joints are tight.

I don't buy any items that need major restoration, but any loose joints are re-glued. Occasionally, some items may have small amounts of historic extinct woodworm, never enough to affect the integrity of the item, and is always treated as a matter of course. We try to describe and show our items the best we can, and we use studio lighting which sometimes lightens the colour slightly on some of the furniture. All lamps are rewired and PAT tested. Every item we sell we would have in our home (some of them have been!!) It is impossible to describe every item fully, so please feel free to email or call for more information or any queries you may have. The items will have no major defects but will show signs of normal age related wear and use. I would prefer the items to show its life rather than strip it and re-polish it, as it's only original once!
